Nahanagan Electrical Engineering Services Limited is the incumbent HV Operation and Maintenance Contractor at Dublin Airport. Our staff have worked continuously at Dublin Airport since 1999.

The Dublin Airport HV network consists of two 110/10kV 40MVA transformers, five HV distribution rings and a total of fifty two HV/LV substations. Five synchronized generators that provide back up in the case of loss of power. Three synchronized combined heat and power units that provide electricity and heat to Terminal 1 and 2, and two solar PV substations that provide electricity to Dublin Airport.

The Dublin Airport Authority HV Network continues to expand at an accelerated rate and as such we require a full time HV Network Manager to work with senior management and Dublin Airport Asset Care to manage the system.

Requirements:

  • 10 years industry experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Be driven and goal oriented
  • Have good people skills and be clear and concise in all dealings with co-workers and clients
  • HV experience essential i.e. commissioning, operation & maintenance
  • HV SAP training desired. Training will be provided.

Job Description:

Reporting to Senior Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing, operating and controlling the campus HV network
  • Planning of all HV maintenance activities in conjunction with Asset Care
  • Drafting of HV switching plans, issuing PTW (Permit to Work) to HV maintenance staff, LOA (Limitation of Access) to third-party contractors as necessary, and ensuring the implementation of Nahanagan Electrical Safety Rules ISSUE05 on site
  • Work seamlessly with  Asset Care, Asset Management and the various Project Teams in the planning and delivery of future new HV substations and HV upgrades on the Dublin Airport HV network
  • Liaison with ESB/Eirgrid in respect of the 110kV/10kV assets, operation and maintenance of same, and planned ESB/Eirgird works and the associated impact on Aerodrome operations.
  • Advanced planning and coordination with Asset Care to achieve operational efficiencies
  • Quarterly inspections of all HV substations, completion and fling of reports and paperwork.
  • Continuous monitoring of HV SCADA  system and liaison with  SCADA provider on the condition and maintenance of the system including hardware and software
  • HV Network SLD  updates
  • HV cable location services
  • Some afterhours work will be a feature of this role from time to time as some HV switching and maintenance activities in particular parts of the airport are carried out after hours to ensure minimum disruption to airport operations. All out of hours work will be paid as overtime, ie: above base salary.
